This site has been set up as fast as possible to contain a one place resource for people to access news, emergency services, contact numbers, references, news feeds and so on. There is a whole team of volunteers working on this brand new Drupal 7 website to respond to the terrible emergency befallen Queensland in January 2011. Contact us if you want to help or have news or other information to share. Create an account and login to post photos, videos and other content.

Hi Tim,

The contact page doesn't seem to be working, but I have setup a mirror of the Brisbane City Council web site and flood maps which is available online at http://bnefloods.se.id.au/ This is updating from the main website when it's available (which is intermittent).

I have plenty of capacity, and can setup mirrors for other sites if there's demand. Feel free to link to it from within your site.

That mirror has currently served nearly 30,000 people from 31 countries since going online yesterday afternoon.

Hi Tim,

From lunchtime today we've set up a simple free service to list emergency accommodation offers.

If anyone is SE QLD  have a spare room or couch you could offer someone for a few days, (zero rent) you can list it on http://flatmates.com.au/floods

we have 45 acres in nambour we are willing to take any sort of livestock that needs a good safe home we currently have goats and llamas, i can not pick them up but if u can arrange delivery i have the space and plenty of food and green grass please call day or night

Just came across this website and couldnt believe the way you all came togther at the times of the floods, i drove through rocklea yesterday and was sad to see that they are still trying to get there houses clean still .. The communities affected had my thoughts and best wishes when the floods were happening and they still do, i hope they can get their lives fixed soon. This is a time we will never forget.
