Victorian Floods Affected Towns 18/1/11

Flood-affected towns as of 1:45pm 18/1/11

Appin South – Loddon River at major flood but falling, after peaking at 3.5m yesterday afternoon

Arcadia Downs – Goulburn River currently around 10.16m and rising higher than predicted. Now expected to peak at about 10.4m later today

Charlton – Avoca River still at minor flood, below 5.8m, but falling slowly after peaking at 8.05m at 4am on Saturday

 

Drung Drung – Wimmera River has peaked at 4.71m at the Drung Drung Bridge, upstream of Horsham. Continuing to fall slowly

Echuca – Campaspe River levels expected to remain high for several days. Waters still about 95m after peaking at 95.75m at about 9pm on Sunday

Horsham – Wimmera River expected to be peaking now at a major flood of 4.2m

Kerang – Loddon River at major level of 77.75m and rising. Expected to keep climbing overnight and into tomorrow

Murchison – Goulburn River at minor flood after it peaked at 9.9m on Sunday night. Water has now fallen below the minor flood level of 9m

Quambatook – Avoca River at major flood and still rising. Expected to peak at about 3m, but difficult to predict when

Rochester – Campaspe River was at moderate level, but today is back down to a minor flood

Shepparton – Goulburn River has risen above minor flood levels to currently sit at 9.7m. Peak of 10 metres possible later today
