If people affected by the floods are displaced, outside their area or going to be away from home for any length of time, they should register with the Red Cross' National Registration and Inquiry System. This system allows friends and family to search for people in flooded areas to see that they are safe and well. For resources on coping with the effects of being in an emergency, including a book for kids, and practical advice on cleaning up after flooding, as well as lots of other information please visit our dedicated Queensland web page.
