FLOOD SCAM WARNING

Just a warning to those of you offering your time, efforts, items or a room for Flood Victims.

Some agency passed my details from this site onto "flood victims" who I opened my home to. They were not true victims but scammers who take advantage of others. They have stolen from me, (small amounts of money, my grandmothers jewelery and other items they found easy to hock) they terrorized me, my neighbours and caused a lot of grief and trouble in general. Their violent tempers let fly after a few days and my house has been trashed and I had to barracade myself in my bedroom.

My insurance wont cover my losses from them - because I let them in.
The police cant assist - because I let them in.

When talking to the police - they pointed out a very clear fact... the true flood victims are the ones generally last in line asking for help, as true flood victims are the ones busy helping themselves.
